HarWood LLC is a locally owned and operated Class A General Contracting company with Residential and Commercial Building Improvement specialties. While HarWood may be new to the scene, owner Joe Woodfin has over 40 years of experience in the construction and mechanical field. His interest in the industry began in the late ’70s when he worked alongside his father, a self-employed carpenter and the Superintendent of Maintenance for the, at the time, planned Brandermill Community in Chesterfield County. Since HarWood began operations in late 2020, we have completed several projects throughout the Greater Richmond and Tri-City areas.

Consider HarWood as the manager for your building or renovation project. For small-scale residential improvements, we employ our in-house laborers to complete the job. In most instances, we qualify competitive subcontractor bids to ensure the best price for whatever specialty service is required. We coordinate plans and specs to keep operations running smoothly, perform pre-and post- inspections to assess work quality, and ensure every project is completed promptly and within budget. In addition to the local customer base, we work with multiple public agencies across Virginia through the eVA procurement site.
